Foggy, deep lemon yellow beer fills the glass. Looks yummy! The carbonation is a bit wild as a fluffy, off-white head exceeds three fingers. The foamy cap descends to a radically messy layer on the surface. Goes without saying that the glass is left equally messy.
Again, the scent is appealingly tropical: nectarine, apricot, blood orange, pomelo and pink grapefruit. That's a beautiful lineup. The maltbill offers oat flakes, biscuit and wheat malt – not too surprisingly. I can sense the creaminess already at this stage.
The taste identity takes a somewhat different route: the creaminess and tropical fruits decline drastically. Citruses dominate: grapefruit pith, lemon zest and peel, a bit of raw pineapple and a twist of lime. A similar phenomenon takes place with the maltbase: wheat steps forward while the biscuity and crackery notes decline in intensity.
The body is medium. The aftertaste is even a tad bitter, grassy, citrusy with pithy and peely elements particularly.
The mouthfeel is medium, zesty, pithy, moderately crisp, a tad dry and drying. Marginal creaminess only, not really tropical at all. Tasty, not overwhelming though.
