A bronze velvety head finds itself at the height of one finger. Soon the surface is adorned by a thin lace ring only. The olfactory provision is intensive: dark chocolate ganache, cacao nibs, lactose, cold-brew coffee, vanilla and faint licorice. Pleasant and predictable. Bourbon slams straight on the tastebuds with no warning. Hefty barrel nuances merge with dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, vanilla, espresso, lactose, cream, distant licorice and even a moderate salty punch. An appealing collection of flavors to be enjoyed. The body clocks robust. The sweetness elevates its fullness. The finish serves a good load of Bourbon and barrel notes, accompanied by most of the earlier flavors, especially the ones from the chocolate/cocoa sector. The mouthfeel is full, intense, slightly alcoholic, heavy, deep, rich and strongly barrel aged. This is sufficiently sticky to leave lips glued. Overall attractive but maybe also a bit aggressive.
