This week's departure beer. Obligatory. I wanted to have this a week ago when on my way to Kyiv but there was something wrong with the keg or tap or whatever, and I had to choose another beer. I'm glad it's available this time. Looks classical: lucid gold. The carbonation behaves well but doesn't retreat to the shadows. A white velvety head exceeds one finger and descends soon to a neat billowy ring on the surface. The scent mixes fruity and crisper aromas. Pine needle, resin, grass, lemon zest and pith as well as carambola. Quite standard, I somehow expected something more modern... The taste profile reflects basically the same set of flavors as what I have already experienced in the fragrance. Lemony, grassy, piney, resinous. The mouthfeel is light, zesty, pithy, medium-crisp, slightly resinous, a bit dry and drying. This is one of those tick-and-forget beers.
