Special offer, clearance actually. Must be left overs from an advent calender set.
Nonetheless, nice pour with enormous but controllable white foam, starting at four but eventually settling at one finger. The body is golden yellow leaning more into haze than translucence.
Scent is a light but immediate sour bite, citrus and funky. Beneath it is the remnants of a typical, light citrus hop profile, but I wonder has something gone wrong. There's a small hint of cereals beneath but it's a little muddled.
The mouthfeel survived and is crisp and refreshing, mellow foam that shifts to lively carbonation but mellows so as to go down softly.
Taste is fairly washed out. The sour bite at first isn't bad, it's just a little out of place. But what's more, there is little or nothing behind it. Watery, with light cereal and faint hops.
As a helles it's not very good. As a sour? Yeah still not great.
A dull beer that must have been past its best.
