Very pale, lemony complexion but actually rather hazy and opaque.
Very beautiful on the nose, bursting with those Kiwi hops, so light, bright and beautiful.
In the mouth it's notably carbonated and the flavour is immediately lesser than the scent. It is really nice though, like a watered down lilt or tropical juice, or a weaker steady rolling man.
White grape and clear gooseberry merging with wheaty dry edge is that nelson sauvin goodness, and there is some kind citrus stabbing through gently, lifting it along with a soft passion fruit like soft fruit flavour.
The lack of alcohol is the culprit in making this lackluster so I'm trying to be generous here, and if this was a 4.2% pale ale then it's be beautiful. And it is beautiful as 0.5% just gentle, subtle, and proper.
Obviously this is a real effort, full on craft beer, not slipping into 'it's alcohol free so why bother' thinking or saving money on hops.
