Our namesake beer, TrimTab IPA is a balanced, sessionable IPA that explores intense hop aroma and flavor without excessive bitterness. A huge amount of Pacifica hops are added in a dry hop, which adds to this beer's distinctive orange marmalade, rose petal and peppercorn character. Ripe citrus fruit aromas and flavors dominate, creating a beer that is an iconic example of TrimTab's commitment to making expressive and complex, yet balanced craft beer. It's an effort to answer the question, "what it means to be a Southern IPA?"

Enjoying this Birmingham IPA while watching the SEC championship game between Georgia and Texas. My Crimson Tide had their chance but let it slip.
Using my Trimtab glass that I recently acquired. Has a deep yellow color with a fine haze, partially translucent. Citrus aroma that I can't define. A solid body, smooth almost creamy, with various citrus flavors. Orange, grapefruit, lemon, maybe even some tangerine. It's a citrus punch with nothing being dominant. Has mild bitterness on the back end that leans toward grapefruit.
Because of its mild bitterness I would classify this as a New England IPA and I'm definitely enjoying it with my pizza.
