1st new beer of the year. Enjoyable drink with a nice fruity aroma and taste with a subtle maltiness thrown in. Decent session ale. Brought direct from the brewery and tasted at home

Tuoksussa karamelliä, havua ja pihkaa. Pehmeä, runsas ja kirpsakka suutuntuma. Maussa havua, pihkaa ja greippiä. Oikein tyypillinen amber alen makupaletti. Aika helppo, miellyttävä ja ainakin näin kuumana päivänä kylmänä juotuna raikasti tosi miellyttävästi. Lisäksi tästä puuttui pistävyys, joka monesti häiritsee muuten hyviä ambereita.

We're sat outside - in October. Marvellous. It might be the stillness, or the unseasonably warm weather, but the sheep on the other side of the pill sound like they're in the garden. As a middle aged man, I couldn't resist this and bought it based on the name alone. It even mentions The Stone Roses on the back! Top stuff. It's apparently the resurrection of a lost recipe and was certainly worth rediscovering. It's an Autumnal nut brown and described as a hoppy amber ale. If someone smashed a bag of conkers, a small block of bonfire night toffee and couple of big handfuls of hops into a blender, this would be the result. I'm pretty sure King Monkey Mr Brown would approve.

I might have tried this beer before but I don't think it was as good tonight. It has lovely malty and hoppy flavours but the amount of hops was probably just on the edge of being drinkable.
