Decent drink. Nice fruity, hoppy aroma mixed with a slight roasted malt note. The taste tells a similar story, but with a slightly more pronounced fruitiness. There is a slight chocolate note, with a roasted malt taste leading to a subtle bitterness at the finish. It’s a good sipping ale because of the ABV. It can't seem to decide whether it's a porter or an IPA, hence the slightly lower rating. If it were one or the other, I would probably score it 4.0+.

It pours very dark brown, almost black, in colour with a dark cream coloured head. Aroma is of roasted malts. Flavour is of roasted malts with a hops on the finish. Slightly heavy to drink.

Too easy to neck this which is dangerous at this abv. Smooth and tasty.

An eminently likeable beer. Enjoyed the dark malty feel and some bitter hoppiness.
