Meal accompaniment. Lucid, dark brown beer with hasty spritzy carbonation offers a yellowish head that fails to reach half a finger and melts quickly to nil. Very typical at Kvass.
A sweet syrupy scent. Malt is difficult to imagine there, it's rather malt extract. Overall, rather impotent.
The taste is what one can imagine based on the description of the fragrance: sweet syrup, caramel, dark chocolate, a bit of burned sugar. Strongly sweet-leaning but sinks down easily.
The body is light, probably even thin but the sugary sweetness baffles my tastebuds. Finishes like it starts.
The mouthfeel is light, sappy, soft and smooth. And obviously traditional. Somewhat soft-drink-like.
NOTE: The barcode leads to the blackcurrant flavored version "Karl Friedrich Kali Mustsõstar".
