Hoppy and bready aroma with caramel and a slight bourbon note. Bourbon hits first in the taste. A sweetness from caramel and chocolate follows. I'm also getting some coffee and slight oatmeal. The hoppiness I thought I was getting in the aroma isn't virtually nonexistent, which for me is a plus. Not really getting much breadiness like I got from the aroma, which is unfortunate. This is pretty damn tasty. Mouthfeel could be thicker, but it's not super thin. I'd pick up a 6 pack of this to enjoy from time to time, depending on the price. One of the better brown ales I've had the pleasure of drinking. A bourbon barrel aged brown ale that isn't high in the abv category. Recommended. 4/5
