Tonight it's a beer share with Ryan rather than I Duo since him and my daughter's family arrived here. Soon after we lose power due to intense thunderstorms. That's why there is a flashlight illuminated photo for this beer. It's a gift from friends on a trip to North Carolina. Tall head from this Munich style golden lager. Hazy with small particulates evident from the flashlight. The expected lager malt with the addition of lemon peel and unfiltered honey. Flavor is okay but the effervescence is overdone and unrelenting. Continuing to swirl the glass helps in reducing this characteristic but a golden lager is supposed to be crushable. The overabundance of carbonation turns this into a beer that must be sipped which is not its purpose. If you are trying this beer, intensely swirl the glass to try to eliminate the overwhelming carbonation. Once this is done it's still just okay.
