I decided to do a compare review of 2 Doppelbock’s. Two I like very much and have here and there. First one is Paulaner Salvator. This has a dark fruit taste leaning towards plum & raisin with very light brown sugar/molasses & toffee malt. Has a hint of hops to go with the loads of malt. Second one is Hofbrau Delicator. This has dark fruit leaning towards plum & raisin, light brown sugar and caramel and barely a hint of chocolate that faded as I got further in. Has a hint of hops to go with the loads of malt just like the previous. Overall they are very similar. The Salvator seemed a little more sugary where the Delicator seemed a little more fruity. The Delicator had just little more of a stronger taste to it. Salvator 3.9. Delicator 4.1.

Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏻🎄. Had to break out the half yard for the holiday. This has a malty taste that leans towards dark fruit (plum/raisin), brown sugar, light toffee and hints of chocolate. Has a hint of hops giving a little bitterness to give a little balance to this. Finishes a little dry. Overall it’s just yummy.
