Late check-in of Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣8️⃣. Sludgy brown beer with limited carbonation that releases a latte-hued, frogspawny head. The foamy lid barely spreads on the surface in the first place. A modest ring performs the decorative function for quite a long time. The nose picks cookie, gingerbread, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, candied orange peel and cinnamon. A nice desserty, Christmassy and drycakey aroma. The tongue enjoys basically a similar package but probably a couple of degrees less sweet like there's no toffee, nor vanilla, neither candied orange peel. But what I do find here includes cookie, gingerbread, brown sugar, bitter syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Maybe also a dash of clove. The spiced segment is quite generous here and diverse, of course. The body is light-medium. The tail intensifies the spices even more. The gingerbread is noticeable and also bigger than before. The other nuances are about the same. Feels light-medium, spiced, Christmassy, somewhat desserty and lip-glueing. Palatable as a flavored Bock but somewhat gimmicky for the style itself.
