West Coast Pilsner
5.3% Pilsner
It’s been a while since my last West Coast Pilsner, but here’s the second of its kind from Hallabrew! Clocking in at 5.3%, it’s a sessionable beer with really refreshing qualities: a dryish body made with extra pale premium pilsner malt by Weyermann, a generous amount of wheat malt, soft water, a delicate fruity background from Fermentis S-23 yeast, and a nice punch of hops featuring the citrusy, floral, and piney goodness of Citra, Chinook, Simcoe, and Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest. The aftertaste dries out nicely with a balanced yet pronounced bitterness of ~30 IBU from Columbus hops.
