12.3% Imperial Stout
This is a To Øl classic that we brew every Christmas since we just can’t get enough of it. A 12.3% heavy, sweet, dark as sin stout with an abundance of lactose for a truly gluttonous, naughty beverage. This version of the Yule Malt was matured in both cognac and bourbon barrels. This gives the Imperial Stout more depth, intensity and silkiness. A wonderful beer that is ideal as a dessert on Christmas Eve or as a companion for the rest of the evening.

To Ølin joulukalenterin kaheskymmenesneljäs. Kuvassa oikealla. Musta ja vaahdoton. Mieto tuoksu, kevyesti paahteinen. Imelähkö runko, hieman terävämpi kuin "normiversiossa" eikä imelyyskään ihan kanna yhtä vahvasti vaan mausta löytyy myös lakritsia tukemaan kokonaisuutta. Lämmetessä kokonaisuus vielä pehmenee ja sen mukana paahdekin tulee kevyesti, mutta pehmeästi mukaan. Prosentit ei pahemmin maistu. Omaan makuun tämäkin jäi vähän yksioikoiseksi, odotin enemmän. Ihan ok kokonaisuus kuitenkin, mutta en jää kaipaamaan.

Kihoskhin joulukalenterin luukku 20: ripauksen verran mokkakahvinväristä aikanopeasti laskevaa vaahtoa erittäin tummanruskean valoaläpipäästämättömän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu makean melassisen tammisen bourbonisen lämmittävän alkoholisen pyöreähkön maltaisen muhkealta ja maistuu makean lempeän katkerahkon kahvisen bourbonisen tammisen konjakkisen lämmittävän alkoholisen maltaisen moniuloitteisen muhkealta, on kyllä kova! Neljä ja puoli bojoo. PE: (Cellar Worthy) ei ole.
