The beer is semiclear amber. A creamy head grows two fingers tall and descends to a still impressive – and seriously messy –, lace ring on the surface. The withdrawing head paints the glass with downpouring traces. The nose gets resin, dry grass, orange peel, graham cracker and... wet wool. This seems to be malt-forward, just like its summer brother, "Sweet Summer Duck". The taste offers loads of resin, orange peel, grapefruit peel and pith, a bit of spruce, graham cracker and dried apricot. Fortunately, no wool though. Fairly old-school this is. The body is light, maybe marginally bigger but not light-medium anyway. The finish is equally resinous, citrusy and malty as the actual taste. The mouthfeel is light, resinous, crisp, dry and drying. Very classical. Very similar to the same brewery's "Sweet Summer Duck". I wonder what the difference might be...
