Tumman ruskea samea ja hento vaahto. Tuoksu: mallas, kaneli, neilikka. Maku: mallas, todella paljon neilikka, hapan jälkimaku. Ei ihan omaan makuun uponnut.

Ihan liikaa neilikkaa ja jotain mikä tuo katkeruutta. Ei toimi. Suutuntuma ihan ok.

Joulu ei maistu tämän tavoin tympeältä eikä joulun jälkimaku ole pistävän kitkerä. Neilikka tulee läpi eikä kokemus ole mukava.

Kaneli ja neilikka antavat lähes tympäisevän tuoksun(hajun). Nenästä kiinni ja maistamaan. Sama perus liemi tuntuu olevan kuin Hard Pukissakin. Mausteet ei vaan tue kokonaisuutta.

Joulun mausteet on mukana, mutta ei oikein iske.

Let's close the weekend with some jingling bells. Namely, a Christmas flavored stout. It's soon Christmas anyway, isn't it? Only 37 days from now. Ho ho ho! Murky, matte black beer is what I have in the glass now. Moderately carbonated. A pale fawn head grows half a finger tall. Only. And then descends to a thin lace ring. A spiced twist embraces dark malt, caramel, rye malt mämmi and syrup. The spice that I'm able to pick in the air is clove. Aniseed and juniper needle should be added to the list. The taste profile is less Christmassy than what the scent would suggest. Spruce needle, menthol, roasted and burned black malt, aniseed, clove and faint cinnamon are the components. The body is light. Could be bigger at 6.5 % but it is what it is. Not bad though. The finish is strong with spruce, burned malt and bitter spices. The mouthfeel is light, coniferous, burned, spiced, dry and medium-drying. It's surprisingly smooth and wintry but not Christmassy in my taste universe.
