Pêche Tourbée is the name of this beer. Smoked peach. You can imagine what is to come. Unique, for sure.
Deep deep orange. And turbid. Looks like thick nectar. The carbonation is restrained but creates a small-bubbled head that fails to grow more than half a finger tall. A thin ring is sustained in the sides. Looks neat.
Smoke in the air. No question about it. Lot of smoke. And I like it. Peach, yes. Sweeter nectarine, as well. Maybe cantaloupe? Quite odd but expectable thanks to the name.
The taste is significantly sour, tropical fruity. Peach and nectarine portray themselves intensively in the palate. Smoke in the taste. Powerful. Lactic acid conquers all unoccupied nooks of my mouth. Wheat malt obviously supports the base.
The body clocks light-medium. Not bad. The end is similar to upfront. The same sourness as all along the way prevails to the last drop.
Feels very tart and acidic in the mouth. Puckers my gums like there's no tomorrow. Enamel is gone. Juicy, tropical, smoked, characterful. Intense. Not my everyday drink. Not complex but surprisingly good stuff in its own right.
I will have to prepare smoked peaches soon.

Très particulière, même si elle bien faite !
