Liquorice sticks the hard ones you'd buy as a kid but in liquid form! Beautiful soft liquorice smell and taste!

One of my all time favourites! This jet Black Russian Imperial Stout by Marble is gold award winning and forms the basis of many brilliant limited editions by the brewery. It's a full and oily concoction with treacle, coffee and dark fruits at the fore, but wait what's this?? it has gone all milk stout but with the raisin taste persisting, it's sweet and creamy like rum and raisin ice cream! Then onwards to the finale, a slightly bitter chocolate and warming alcohol hit which makes you remember it until the next mouthful. To top it off the whole shebang is smooth as silk from beginning to end. *standing ovation*

This Imperial Stout pours jet black and forms a thin tan coloured head. The aroma is generous with coffee and there's a hint of dried plum. The flavour has strong coffee notes, sherry, a hint of dark chocolate, oak and walnut. The mouthfeel is smooth and agreeable. Elegant and charming.
