Beer 2/2 is darker, limpid, light copper. The foamy layer is moderate, white and retreats quickly to the sides. The fragrance gives ample grapefruit pulp, part of it is actually its sweeter sister, blood grapefruit. Not pithy or peely parts, just zest. The colossal grapefruit and blood grapefruit flavors don't escape anywhere in the gustatory universe. Bigger than the actual "beery" components. The body is light. Ends identically to upfront. I don't expect anything else since the grapefruity nuances are so dominant here. The mouthfeel is light, zesty, juicy, pulpy, even moderately tart. Refreshing. Absolutely. Could be a good start for a morning to give a proper wake up. If something critical needs to be said about this beer, the qualifications of a Saison are really in the minority.
