
Bishop's Barrel No. 25 is a Baltic Porter (our DR17 recipe) aged in Tawny Port Barrels. The base beer is a dark, high viscosity brew fermented with our lager yeast - the same used in Summer Pils and Spring Bock.

Post-dated on my trip to the 30th Anniversary party for Saint Arnold's Brewery.
Number 25 in the Bishops Barrel Baltic Porter. Opaque brown color. This Baltic Porter is not creamy at all. Sharp crisp texture, ripe raisin, sweet raw unprocessed molasses, some char, all velvety smooth. Finish ends with a dryness on the top of the tongue.
All this on draft and excellent. Probably deserves the 5.0 but I'm holding back from it.
