Well it was a rigmarole finding this beer because Funky Fluid appear to have dozens of Gelato variations. Lovely can poured a lovely looking body of juicy and creamy orange, with enough sediment to rival a septic tank. Only slight off white head materialised and it didn't hang around long. The scent as I poured brought memories of my first sour beer experience flooding back, I have high hopes for this. Lots of real fruit used here, it all shines through in spades, the pineapple, peach all on a base of calamansi citrus. Mouthfeel is only mildly crisp, very sharp though with a little creaminess and a little carbonation. The medium body is touching on heavy with the sheer heft of the juiciness. Taste is a mixed bag. This is incredibly juicy, it would own anything that 'Tropicana' could put at the breakfast table. So much sweet citrus, all complimented perfectly by the pineapple and softened by the peach. Unfortunately though, there is little to no sour element in this. There is only a mild sour bite, very authentic too, perhaps coming from the real pineapple used in the brewing process. This is a wildly delicious beer, and would score very high but the lack of real sourness losses it marks.
