Whitstable Bay Red IPA is a deep red coloured ale that is brewed using the brewery’s own chalk-filtered mineral water and Pale Ale, Crystal, Caramalt, and Roasted Barley malts, with Kentish Challenger hops for bitterness and American Amarillo hops for aroma. Deep russet in colour, Whitstable Bay Red IPA combines the citrus fruit and pine aromas of an IPA with roasted and caramel malt flavours.

Olut on lasissa tumman rusehtavan punaista ja melko kirkasta. Vaaleaa vaahtoa jäi hieman oluen pinnalle ja lasin reunoille. Tuoksu on raikas, puolikuiva, maltainen, toffeinen ja sitruksinen. Herkkänenäinen kissa ei irvistänyt tuoksulle. Maku on kevyen hapokas, kuivahko, maltainen, toffeinen ja kitkerä. Maistuva ruby ale, varsinkin ruuan kylkeen. Maku voisi olla jollain tavalla hieman täyteläisempi.
