Schmankerl 4.9%, Top Out Brewery, Scotland

Schmankerl
4.9% Witbier
Hops: German Tettnanger and British Admiral. Possibly one of Scotland’s best wheat beers? Schmankerl means ‘delicacy’ or ‘treat’ in the Bavarian dialect. In order to achieve the classic Hefeweizen character we don't use generic dried yeast but propagate a genuine Bavarian strain ourselves. Schmankerl is a cloudy wheat beer with notes of banana and cloves.

Only tried two or three wheat beers, so not too familiar with them. This one has a really strong aroma and a great strong taste. Tastes of banana but more of cloves than the ones I’ve tried before. This was the last one on the shelf at Aldi so I’m guessing it’s been popular. Would definitely try again.
