A pear sour ale sounds interesting. Pear is not among the easiest ingredients to make it shine tastewise. Let me see how they have succeeded here. The appearance is relatively misty, straw, maybe with a remote green reflection. The carbonation is somewhat shy. A frogspawny head emerges on the top and melts fast to a gossamer lace ring on the sides. The olfactory supply is exactly as obscure as I expected: fresh fruity but thin. Difficult to say the actual composition; it can certainly be pear but it could well also be apple, kiwi, lemon or a combination thereof. Wheat malt in the basement but not much anyway. The gustatory provision includes pear or apple or both. Wheat malt is recognizable but rather weak. A lemony undertone prevails. Overall, not particularly impressive. The body is light. The finish is similar to the actual taste experience. Confirms my understanding; pear is, indeed, difficult. Feels light, juicy, moderately tart, refreshing and mouthcoating. Quite alright for a pear sour ale.
