Hop Dog
5.5% Session IPA
Very Modern India Pale Ale. Citrus dominated IPA with a slight astringency in the first sip that warns you of what’s about to come and an enduring bitter finish (IBUs 65). Back end taste and aromas of tropical fruits from the New Zealand Kohatu hops with Dana hops giving the sensation of being smacked in the mouth with a jar of marmalade…. kinda like Bob Dylan on acid.

Quite nice this. A modern offering from Andwell which is good to see. A hybrid of English pale ale and a session IPA. Lots of bitterness that is mellow, dry and citrusy hits you from the beginning and leaves a nice pithy aftertaste.

Really soft and sweetly pleasant, a clear real ale influence, a lil pineapple in there, superbly smooth drinkability.
