Incredibly smooth, rich and viscous. A big boozy hit right at the front of the palate that stay there until you swallow. Doesn’t work with every beer and can be overpowering but works really well in this one. I’m assuming that’s down to the cognac barrel. Underlying flavours of a sweet stout with chocolate dominating. There’s an oaky dimension to the flavour as well vanilla and spice. It’s full bodied and definitely a sipper!
