Enjoying a Super Bowl party at my son's house. Friends and family here to enjoy the evening. Still finding time to have a Duo beer with Ryan, another Clown Shoes IPA. High foamy head, lasting quite a while. Very hazy deep yellow color. Strong citrus aroma giving grapefruit and a sweet natural tropical fruit quality. Texture has the expected thin quality. Flavor is immediately grapefruit, and natural bitterness from hops and then you begin to realize there's a sweetness underlying it all. A natural sweetness, not one added to the beer. A citrus fruit sweetness from either mango or light tangerine. As the finish arrives, the level of bitterness remains. Citrus overcomes the sweetness and becomes more dry. One of the more bitter Clown Shoes brews but still within my tolerance level. Halftime is over, time to get back to the game.

This has a citrusy taste that is mainly lemon with just a hint of tangerine. Has some light pine. Bitterness is light. Overall a pretty good session even though it is a little plain Jane for the style.
