A Tripel. Once again. Interestingly, this beer is totally translucent. The color is deep gold. A pure white, fluffy head with multiple tiny bubbles emerges on the top and reaches one finger. The foamy cap descends fast to a thin lace ring but tall, dense ornaments mess the rim of the glass seriously. Sweet malt, apricot, grapefruit and a twink of bubblegum emanate to my nostrils. Something familiar, something unpredictable. We'll see how it performs on the tongue. The malty segment portrays candi sugar as expected. Apricot, orange peel, biscuit, grass and a pinch of pine needle join the show. Alcohol isn't entirely camouflaged but manageable. Quite alright with a modem twist. The body is medium plus. The tail tweaks crisper, as if hoppy, not really fruity anymore but grassy and slightly piney. The signature sweet malt and candi sugar are both pretty distant now. The mouthfeel is medium, moderately crisp, marginally piney and slightly alcoholic. Like I said, there's a bit of a modern twist here, which sometimes can be innovative and sometimes unsuccessful. This is more of the latter than the former.
