Cloudwater Imperial Stout (Pedro Ximenez barrel aged), the scent is dominated with sweet cherry and some liquorice and chocolate. The mouthfeel is pretty light and carbonated. Starts off dry with coffee, salt liquorice and raw cocoa. Finishes off with clear hints of the cherry barrel, smoothening up the taste and giving the beer pretty mellow ending. The aftertaste is surprisingly full with smooth espresso and fresh coffee. Very unexpected twist of taste. Really good one, always rooting for barrel aged stouts! 4/5
