This new beer, first released in 2016, has been brewed again especially for the Wetherspoon 2016 real ale festival. It is deep ruby in colour, with a fragrant aroma and mellow roasted malt character, complemented by vanilla notes.

Thick heavy and rich! The taste and smell of vanilla is really strong but the sweetness doesn't overpower the stout flavour. Not one of my favourites but I will definitely be having another 😀

Incredible! One of the best beers that I have ever had the pleasure of putting down my oesophagus! I love vanilla beer!

Great brewery Theakstons. 'Proper' is the word as anyone who has visited Masham would attest. This vanilla Stout is as described with a strong vanilla flavour. I like it when a beer claims to be one thing or another and actually is. This is a great example. Like you've just opened a vanilla pod!

Only 4 guest real ales currently available at the local Wetherspoon and this is probably the best of them. Initial subtle roasted malts leading to a sweet vanilla like finish. Easy to drink for a stout. Very nice.
