
Gino Perissutti has travelled to Shepherd Neame Brewery, in Kent, to brew this mahogany beer especially for this Wetherspoons real-ale festival. Brewed in the style of a traditional English porter, this has notes of coffee, chocolate and licorice in the flavour, leading to a refreshing, slightly herbal finish.

Quality beer. Toffee and burnt caramel flavours. Unfortunately has to be pulled without a sparkler :(

A nice brown porter, but it couldn't not be being made by Shepherd Neame. Nicely balanced with good bitterness and chocolate malt. I would like to try the real version.
