Brewed in collaboration with Batemans. Does exactly what it says on the label. Surprising fruity aroma for a stout. Malty taste with a nice chocolate & toffee twist. Slight bitter aftertaste but enjoyable. Smooth and easy drinking session ale. Another one from the spoons beer festival range

Had better stouts, but drinkable

JDW Real Ale Festival, Autumn 2023. Standard jet black coloured stout with a thin tan coloured head. Malt aroma and flavour with the described hints of chocolate and toffee. A reasonable stout but not exceptional.

Dry, hoppy mouthfeel and light overall. Not getting strong tropical notes, slightly bitter with hints of coffee. Judge’s label: Not nice
