Muzzy was brewed in honor of (and named after) a bright light and close friend of the Bissell Brothers family, who lost her courageous battle with ALS this past summer. Her experience has given us a keen awareness of just how terrible this disease is, how little is known about it, and how badly the world needs to find a cure. We couldn’t be more honored to play a part in raising funds and awareness for ALS in the hope that one day everyone who receives an ALS diagnosis will have real treatment options and, maybe someday, a cure. As for the beer, it only made sense to make an English Pale Ale in honor of Muzzy’s love for Bass Ale. Easy to drink and lightly hopped, this beer is best enjoyed in the company of friends and loved ones. As Muzzy was so fond of saying, “never drink alone.”
