New in the app. An Imperial Coffee Stout by local brewery Kompaan with coffee from local roasters Capriole.
Blikkie Pleuâh is The Hague dialect/slang for Can of Coffee and is a pun on Bakkie Pleuâh, which means Cup of Coffee.
It is a pitch black, thick liquid with probably the brownest head I have ever seen.
The aroma is of a very decent, light roast, natural (as in: the beans dried in the fruit flesh) coffee. That means fruits like nectarine and lychee. The typical porter aroma is in the background.
What a great combination, both in aroma and taste. Combined with the thickness and almost creamy mouth feel it is even better.
I was really looking forward to this can, and it really delivered. Kompaan is always hit or miss, and this is definitely a hit.
