AB:21 – a liquorice blackcurrant imperial stout. This one-off brew harnesses the tart berry fruit and the bitter aniseed spice whilst layering it into a deep background of spiced chocolate from the malt bill. At 12% abv it yields a huge amount of warming alcohol on the finish, which is rich, rounded and moves from the darkly fruity to a lasting liquorice warmth as it progresses; it is one of the most complex beers we have ever made.

Weird and freaky Stout. No bull on the label, liquorice and blackcurrant all the way. Only lightly sweet. A bit too weird for more stars.

Oddly enough this is one of the freakiest beers i have ever tasted. On the top is the liqourice clearly, but softly comes the berries. If you like Finnish Salmiakki you will like this, promise.

Todella jäykkä ja tymäkkä olut. Viina maistuu liikaa läpi parempiin pisteisiin. Mutta todella kova kertaalleen maistettava.

How about some Brewdog?
N: Coffee, raw chocolate, liqourice, dark berries. I do found blackcurrant, but it aint so dominate that I was worried about. Nise smell.
T: Ooh... Blackcurrant jumps to your face! But it blends quite nicely with maltbody, hops and liqourice. Bit juicy in the middle of tasting.
Aftertaste is long with warming alcohol. Also, it is quite dry.
Nice and enjoyable beer, so 4/5 it is.
