For this IPA with our friends at Basqueland from San Sebastián, we made a riff on our previous collaboration, Six Degrees of Separation, but this time at 6% strength for a more approachable beer while still retaining all the tropical and dank flavours that a big kick of Citra and Mosaic brings.

Beautiful sweet tropical fruit aromas off this brew that makes me think NEIPA straight away, attributed to the Citra and Mosaic used. Pineapple, tangerine, lime, sweet pine.
Nice and soft in the mouth and fairly thick feel too. Nothing too sharp in the way of citrus you'd expect from the Citra hops, but it may elaborate with time. Tropical juice favour is the lead at this stage and quite pleasant indeed.
It's caught between easy drinking and reminder of heft via the 6% ABV and overall body. This brew welcomes full gulps then you sense the alcohol. Lime and lemon are coming through a bit more but it's still young. The pineapple and orangy elements are very soft edged. The finish is quick and leaves dank sweet hoppiness, only a slight hint of pine really, which is nice.
A solid NEIPA, my favourite style. Whilst not amazing like Chubbles, this brew is a showcase of the classic unbeatable duo of Citra + Mosaic.
EDIT: It gets sweeter, danker and hoppier as it ages in the glass, nicer. Not quite saturated like a DIPA of course but somewhere between there and a pale!

Sweet , tropical , juicy aroma.
Straight away hit with the pleasantness of the mouthfeel , this is only hopped with Citra and Mosiac mind so nothing groundbreaking here in terms of flavour notes.
But , this is of course a cloudwater x Basqueland collaboration and so therefore deserves a write up.
Worth the 4.99 i paid for it.
Canned 14/06/23.
