Smaakt te duidelijk naar acholvrij

Dry January is here. No alcohol until in February. The beer is turbid copper. Carbonation is restrained. A creamy, pale gray head emerges up to the level of one finger. A small-bubbled lace ring circles the top for quite some time while tiny traces pour down on the rim of the glass. The scent is really sweet: marshmallow, strawberry jam and a twist of toffee can be captured in the air. Strange... Or maybe it's appealing. Can't tell. I let the beer settle down for a while so that the fragrance turns somewhat biscuity. And maybe waffly. The flavor supply brings in beery elements like pale malt, a bit of wheat, faint grassy hops and an unwelcome metallic tang. A distant hint of toffee lingers in the background but it's bitter rather than sweet. The body is thin. The end doesn't deviate from the beaten track, only does the metallic side kick reduce. Fortunately. The first of January, they said we'd go dry; and ev'ryone thought, there'd be nothing to buy; but you got yours and I got mine; the aftertaste was happy, we were feeling fine. The mouthfeel is thin, slightly tangy and a tad metallic. Some artificial elements, too. A decent refreshing piece though.

Skuumkoppe mit Alkohol ist ja echt lecker (vor allem bin Fass! 😁), da hatte ich die Hoffnung, dass das auch für das Alkoholfreie gilt … Aber das war leider nix … 🤷🏽‍♂️ Es schmeckt zwar recht vollmundig und ist auch nicht zu süß, dennoch ist da ein künstliches Aroma dabei, dass nichts mit Bier zu tun hat und leider sehr dominant ist. Es erinnert mich an etwas aus der Jugend, weiß aber nicht mehr, was das ist; es könnten irgendwelche klebrige Bonbons sein 🤷🏽‍♂️ Ansonsten: stabiler Schaum, trüb, bernsteinfarben. Ich gebe mal knappe 3 ⭐️
