Cloudy, deep copper beer from the tap builds a dense moussy head whose color is like smooth sand on the beach. The height is about one finger. Retention seems to be extraordinarily long. Well good, the beer's previous aromas are hereby nicely protected.
The nose receives vague nuances only: fragrant sweet-leaning caramel, maybe also a whisper of raisin. Not much to write home about.
The tongue likes the caramelly note that, indeed, is a tad sweet. Dried apricot, black tea, a pinch of brown sugar and raisin complete the cocktail. Fairly unchallenging.
The body is light. The finish carries merely the caramelly vibe forward but loses its initial sweetness, turning now to a basic bitter Amber Ale flavor world. A short-lived end we have here.
The mouthfeel is surprisingly light, slightly crisp, fragrant, smooth and rather easy. No edges at all. Characterless. I don't know what else to say, I'm out of words.
