Running out of time for beers on this quick trip. Next is a Mexican milk stout that may have the least alcohol ever for a stout at 5 %.
Poured with a light consistency. Dark brown with medium size head. Coffee and cinnamon aroma. Taste quickly brings roasted coffee and then a combination of cinnamon which is mellowed with vanilla. An absence of deep malt is apparent. Light, thin texture is the result. Effervescence continues through the finish with the cinnamon increasing in flavor.
Flavor on this beer is very good but it's lack of more texture and the body that malt delivers is holding it back. Would have been better in the category of a porter. Low alcohol and malt results in it not having as high a score as it could have attained.
