Tampa, Florida & Angry Chair Brewing. OLUT: Imperial German Chocolate Cupcake Stout (2019) PANIMO: Angry Chair Brewing OLUTTYYPPI: Imperial Stout MAA: Yhdysvallat VAHVUUS: 10,5% VÄRI (EBC): Musta (100.0) KATKEROT (EBU/IBU): - TUOKSU: Pehmeän syvä. Kakkuisuutta, suklaata monella tapaa, vaniljakukkaa, fariinisokeria, makea. VAAHTO: Ruskea, käväisee nopeasti kahden sormen mitassa. Vetäytyy nopeasti. GREY’S VIEW Jykevän runsas ensi kalistelu. Mauissa maitosuklaata, vaniljapapua, kepeästi kookoksen häivettä, aavistus mallaspohjaa sekä kovan yrittämisen tuntua. Runko on puolikevyt, hieman liivatteinen, mutta raikas. Nopeaa ja livakkaa tavaraa se on. Hiilihapot ovat täysin hyppysissä tuossa; tasaisen varmaa toimintaa. Jälkimaussa kepeän nahkealehtinen, browniekakkuinen, melassinen, edelleen aavistuksen kukkainen ja makea kokonaisuudeltaan. MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: 1. Bottle share @ Pien. Since there's only one bottle of this rarity, it's sold in 4 cl portions. I can live with that. 👍🏻 The beer colors impenetrable, deep dark brown. The very shy carbonation lays a moderate, tan head that dies almost immediately away. The scent displays surprisingly massive dark chocolate and hefty vanilla as if tonka beans were added in the brewing. I can easily also identify bags of cacao nibs, a punch of mudcake and relatively strong oak barrel in which Bourbon has been maturing nicely. The gustatory package smashes my taste receptors with extremely delicious vanilla-cum-sugar amended dark chocolate that whirls ethereally with loads of brownie and mouthwatering mudcake. Vanilla is now vanilla and not tonka. Moreover, the multilayered palate unlocks a good dollop of Bourbon, wet oak barrel as well as a bit of red wine. Interesting and fascinating! I also start picking licorice among the components. Alcohol makes itself known but in a good way. The body is medium, which is astonishingly weak. The beer ends with a good amount of raw chocolate and vanilla that turns back to tonka. I also find faint licorice and recognizeable brownie but the Bourbon vanishes practically altogether. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily strong, truly round and smooth. It's also beautifully mature, somewhat lip-glueing as well as slick and a bit oily. Overall, this brew is elegant, complicated and multilayered. Beautiful in all respects.
