Past post from a previous trip to Southern Prohibition Brewing. Came in a 4 oz sniffer glass. It's the one on the right. No head, opaque brown color. Very faint aroma of bourbon. Soft and creamy texture, almost getting syrupy. An abundance of flavor. Bourbon hits you fast, that 10% actually seems stronger. Vanilla is so strong it seems like an extract. I get notes of coconut which isn't in the beer's description. The sweetness of the vanilla carries straight through the finish and lingers. I love dessert stouts and the sweet ones especially, but this is overdone and too sweet for even me. This would make a great addition to a scoop of vanilla ice cream but not so much for sipping a beer. Great flavor but the intensity held back it's rating. As a side note, that grilled cheese made with Swiss cheese and sauteed onions was fabulous.
