In Tuscaloosa Alabama visiting Druid City Brewing. Arrived early, actually before opening. Owner and beermaster Bo Hicks graciously spending time with me telling me the history of this operation. Good times. This porter is a very basic dry style. Not exactly an Irish Stout but close to it. Not sweet or soft. Flavorful in a dark roasted manor. As a somewhat earthy background. Bo explains this was never supposed to be a complicated beer. He wanted to have a degree of simplicity for an old style dry Irish stout. I think he accomplished it.
