At Trim Tab Brewing enjoying a few on draft. New stout, just released. Using real ingredients of coconut and vanilla bean. Congratulations to them on ingredient integrity. Small 6 oz serving, brief dark brown head. Aroma immediately relays the coconut and alcohol. Texture is soft, heavy, almost syrupy. Flavor has sweet dark molasses, Barrel aging is apparent, raw coconut and a very well-balanced vanilla. Has an alcohol presence that seems stronger than 9.8%. Late in the finish, the Barrel aging with the deep malt gave it a dark chocolate quality. Very impressed with this Stout. Not known for heavy stouts, Trim Tab did good.
