Gave it a rating while on a hike but I vastly was under what it should have been. The high frothy head was inviting. The roasted caramel was excellent and had a very satisfying finish. It wasn't a great beer but I still enjoyed it very much. 3.2 was undeserved, raising it to a 3.9.

For those who love a great brown ale, strong note of caramel and amazing color and aroma. Wonderful!

Unusual Duo share this time with Ryan. He's fishing on a pier in Texas while I'm on a scenic overlook of the Little River Canyon in Alabama. Both of us enjoying the outdoors today.
Caramel colored head. Seemed to recede quickly. Beautiful amber color, mostly red, totally clear. Soft texture but has an edge to it. Perfect title to this Red ale. Burnt caramel is exactly the flavor I get. Not toasted, actually seems burnt but in a good way. Has some hidden notes in the background. Best described as an overripe peach on the verge of turning sour. Has a continuous flavor going through the finish, nothing new.
Not a complicated beer whatsoever. But delicious and very much enjoyed on a beautiful sunshiny spring day.
