Semihazy, copper beer with lively, short-lived carbonation unleashes a pure white, frothy head that exceeds one finger and settles gradually down to a neat lace ring circling the surface. The withdrawing foam paints a couple of small splatters on the glass. The nose receives mild citrusy hops, especially grapefruit zest and a little bit of lemon peel, followed by a drop of orange. Malt is also recognizeable, with a suggestion of caramel. The taste profile includes grapefruit pulp, lemon pith and peel. I pick also medium-strong hops, including faint dry hops, as well as decent malt. Perhaps a shy proposal of caramel is being presented in the palate as well. The light-bodied beer ends with relatively hoppy aftertaste. The hoppiness is a tad piney and grassy. Nice lingering maltiness adds to the package, seasoned with a really gentle caramelly touch. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds busy over medium to long duration. The mouthfeel is light, interestingly slightly juicy and nicely light-crisp. It's also somewhat dry and mouth-drying. Rather full for a Session IPA though.
