Having some of the beers that I have stashed back for many years. First had this beer almost 3 years ago in 2023. This came from that same four pack. We'll see how 3 years aging affects it's characteristics. I would have thought that aging affected the head since there isn't any but the photo from 3 years ago is the same. I guess it just doesn't have that quality. I really can't tell that 3 years has changed anything. Funny how the memory can bring back this flavor so vividly. The 10.9% alcohol seems the same and the balance of flavors also seems consistent. I gave it a 4.9 and it deserves all of it. I need to try to find more of this.

Sharing a Straight to Ale stout. Brings back memories of our trip to the brewery.
Starts with what appears to be a very heavy texture, almost no head. Aroma of dark chocolate and alcohol. Texture is full-bodied but not as heavy as expected. Very creamy and smooth. Flavor is outstanding. Swiss dark milk chocolate with strong overtones of amaretto followed by a rich sweet coffee. Faint traces of vanilla in the background. All this is followed by a modest coffee bitterness in the finish. Excellent beer.
