Nothing better than having a fabulous Founders KBS Imperial Stout to make two rough weeks drift away. Going to have some beers this weekend to make up for lost time.
I've rated this beer before and can't add anything extra to this excellent beer. Had a few stashed away and this is the perfect time. Still every bit of a 4.8 or maybe higher. Sometimes it's better to simply kick back, relax, and enjoy a fabulous brew.

Came across this beer at a local gas station. Lucky to find it. The Founders KBS line is pretty special.
A solid, very tan head. Dissipates but only after leaving a thick coating around the glass. Aroma has a strong Bourbon alcohol and roasted coffee. Texture is heavy, smooth and creamy. Flavor comes in waves. I immediately get a Bourbon alcohol burn that travels to the stomach, warming as it goes. Next comes a very dark sweet chocolate followed by deep-roasted coffee. As it glides into the finish, traces of cherry comes out from behind the ever-present bourbon barrelled alcohol.
Very good brew. From first to last the 11.6% alcohol felt much higher. It dominated the overall experience. I would have liked for the cherry to be a little stronger but the flavors all blended very well. Another winner for KBS.
