The label describes Steel&Oak's 2016 anniversary beer as "slightly kettle soured for a refreshing tartness with notes of stone fruit, alongside a malty backbone." Truth in advertising there because that is exactly how I would have described it prior to reading the label.
The stone fruit reminds me of apricot or nectarine. Hopheads might find the mild tartness a refreshing break from the fruits of the wolf vine. The maltiness isn't heavy and I think I want taste more malt in my locally made sours. Great job S&O.
