Sameahko ruskea. Nopeat vaahdot.

Wow, this is sour for a barleywine, especially on the nose. Complex. Lovely. Leaves a sweet and sour aftertaste. I prefer my barleywines less sour. Did I mention it’s sour?

Fuzzy, dark brown beer with oppressed carbonation manages to release a marginal creamy lace ring that circles the top sustainedly. Bourbon is unmistakable in the scent, it's damn fruity. Raisin and prune, at least, fly in the air. Roasted corn, brown malt and soaked oak barrel should be added to the list. The taste serves aggressive Bourbon and lots of oak barrel, alcohol can't definitely be forgotten here. It doesn't disturb but makes itself felt big time. Prune, raisin, brown malt and a bit of cookie wave their fins in the background. The body is relatively full. Bourbon is a tad lofty in the finish, oaky, still fruity but not to the extent as upfront. Alcohol diminishes its intensity dramatically. Almost easy. The mouthfeel is full, sticky, alcoholic, warming and undoubtedly barrel aged. Glues lips. Too much Bourbon, thus, not fully balanced in my opinion. Tasty, of course.
